Map Collections in the Research Center
The Research Center on the fourth floor of Tulsa's Central Library holds in its collections a large number and variety of print and digital maps.
Research Center Digital Map Collections
Large format printer/map plotter HP DesignJet 5500 is available, capable of printing full color up to 42 inches wide.
Online/CD/DVD resources include:
- AtoZ Maps OnlineProprietary, royalty-free world, continent, country, and state maps + political maps, physical maps, outline maps, population maps, precipitation and climate maps
- Aerials ExpressAerial photography for the Tulsa County area. Photos were flown in February 2007
- Historical USGS Oklahoma quadrangle maps15' and 30' Indian Territory USGS maps scanned by the University of Alabama
- Map View/Tulsa BytesParcel mapping software from the Tulsa County Assessor's Office updated annually
- Mississippi River chartsRiver charts from the mid to late 1800s scanned by the University of Alabama
- Oklahoma Department of Transportation mapsIncludes: Oklahoma's Incorporated City Maps, Indian Territory Map, Oklahoma State Highway maps from 1916-2000
- Oklahoma Sanborn Maps, 1867-1970Maps created to assist fire insurance companies as they assessed the risk associated with insuring a particular property
- Oklahoma Topographic interactive mapsIncludes 1:24,000, 1:100,000, and 1:250,000 scale maps
- Tulsa County aerial mapsImagery in the 1950s and the 1960s
