We think library cards are pretty neat! However, your child does NOT need a library card to participate in the Children's Summer Reading Program.

How To Participate in the Children's Summer Reading Program

Babies up to children who have completed fourth grade can participate in the Children's Summer Reading Program!

Sign up at any of our 24 Tulsa City-County Library locations. 

When you sign up, you will receive a reading log, your first library visit sticker, an event guide for the summer, and a free bookmark and bag!

Starting on May 30, when children...

Read* (or listen to) 8 books + Visit the library 4 times =

Earn a medal and book of coupons for free food and entertainment!

Read* (or listen to) 12 more books (total of 20) =


*Or have an adult read to you

If you have completed fifth grade, you can participate in the Tween/Teen Summer Reading Program!

And, YES, babies can participate in the Birth to Pre-K Summer Reading Program! Simply read TO your baby and keep track of the books you read to him or her. Participants in the Birth to Pre-K program will receive a separate bonus prize and be entered into their own grand prize drawing.
